Insurance & COI
Production Insurance & COI Guide
Insured renters skip the $500 security hold. Here's what we need and how to get it.
What is a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?
A COI is a one-page document from your insurance provider proving you carry liability and equipment coverage. Most providers issue one in minutes from your online account, you tell them who to name on it, and they email you a PDF.
What your COI must include
- Additionally insured: JHR Photography LLC DBA Impact Studio 931
- Address: 2300 Rotary Park Dr, Suite A, Clarksville, TN 37043
- Coverage dates that include your rental date
- General liability coverage (equipment coverage recommended if you're renting gear)
Where to get coverage
- Professional Photographers of America (PPA): includes equipment insurance and liability options with easy COI generation. Standard for working photographers. ppa.com
- Short-term event insurance: single-day production policies from providers like theeventhelper.com. Buy online in minutes and add us as additionally insured during checkout.
- Your existing business policy: call your agent (Hartford, State Farm, Hiscox, etc.) and request a COI naming us as additionally insured. Usually free and same-day.
No insurance? No problem.
You can still book. A refundable $500 security hold is authorized (not charged) on your card and released within 5 business days after everything is returned in good condition.
